🕺Top and Convenient AI Code Editor Windsurf Launches Its Own Programming Models

Introducing the new SWE-1 model family – Windsurf’s own development team, created specifically for writing code: from generation to full assistance in working with projects. There are a total of three models, each with its own specialization:

• SWE-1 – the flagship of the line. In terms of generation quality and skills, it is comparable to Claude 3.5 Sonnet and GPT-4o, but at the same time, it is more affordable. During the promotional period, the model can be used for free – to all subscribers of the paid version of Windsurf. On a free account, you can too, but with limits.
• SWE-1-lite – a lighter version. It provides confident quality of work and is available without restrictions to absolutely everyone – both on paid and free accounts.
• SWE-1-mini – an ultra-compact and fast model built into the Windsurf editor. Responsible for passive assistance in coding: anticipates user actions and offers contextual hints without the need for a separate request. Press Tab and the neural network completes any method/class/function.
